The Meniett® device
Meniett® is a portable pressure pulse generator, designed, manufactured and marketed by Pascal Medical AB, Halmstad, Sweden.
A ventilation tube is inserted into the eardrum of the patient, and the pressure pulses are transmitted via a tubing and an earplug into the middle ear.
The clinical effect occurs as the pulses reach the inner ear.
The treatment cycle is completed in a few minutes and can be repeated when needed. After prescription of a physician, the patient can treat himself or herself at his/her convenience.
In addition to the European CE marking for medical devices, Meniett® is now approved by the American Food and Drug Administration, FDA, and will soon be available to American patients.
